ANTITRUST STATEMENT

As participants in this meeting, we need to be mindful of the constraints of antitrust laws. There shall be no discussions of agreements or concerted actions that may restrain competition. This prohibition includes the exchange of information concerning individual prices, rates, coverages, market practices, claims settlement practices, or any other competitive aspect of an individual company’s operation. Each participant is obligated to speak up immediately for the purpose of preventing any discussion falling outside these bounds.

      • We reviewed all of the Current Jira’s and the status.

        • Architecture Committee:   Dan Webster /Paulette/Mike Hastings

          • The meetings productivity has slowed with many members not able to make it to the meetings. A new Doodle Poll was sent out to find a better time for members, knowing that businesses have started back up and everyone has a lot of work to do.

          • Showed the New Stoplight version of VIN Decoder.

          • At this time the VIN Decoder is returning the CIECA BMS Vehicle Info, which has a lot more data than needed for a VIN Decoder. The Architecture Committee is working on simplifying the Vehicle Info Data even more, but we don’t want to remove items from Vehicle Info and then need to add them back for other messages. It is one of the items Architecture is working on and could use feedback.

          • SAB committee members ask if the API would be provided to different formats and customers. The API will create the YAMAL file and the documentation that is needed, however, the implementation of the API will be for CIECA members.

          • SAB committee members ask if other VIN Decoder APIs were being investigated, the answer is yes, there have been many examples reviewed and currently looking at those for help in simplifying the data.

        • Education Sub-Committee:  Don Porter/Stacey/Paul/Paulette

          • Connex planning is in full swing, meeting with speakers and getting everything finalized

            • 75+ people have registered for CONNEX at this time

          • CIECAST

            • No CIECAST for September

            • October Technical for the release

          • Video is now on CIECA.com under the about sections

            • The Video was played and everyone liked it.

        • Emerging Technologies Adhoc Committee: Frank Terlep and Gene Lopez/Paulette

          • Emerging Tech has proposed new Master Code List for Options that line up with the ADAS features that have been identified by the committee.

          • Next meeting we plan to move forward on ADAS and Next steps planning.

          • Paulette needs to set up a meeting to discuss the Emerging Technologies CONNEX presentation.

        • Recycled Parts & Inventory (RPI) Committee:  Ginny Whelan/Paulette

          • The meeting was cancelled last month, but plan to look at the EV lifecycle workflows and data to make sure everything needed to support EV is provided.

        • Repair Order Committee and Repair Status & Process Project:    Jim Puskas and Chris Hall/Paulette

          • Jim had a last minute conflict come up and Chris is on UK Holiday today.

          • The Kickoff for this committee to brainstorm and determine next steps is September 8, 2021.

        • Vehicle Damage and Imaging Committee (Incl. PDR):  Phil Martinez/Paulette

          • VDI will look at the OEM Repair Procedures, but we are waiting until after CONNEX to kick this off.

      • Implementation Mode/Inactive Committees:

      • Reviewed cieca.info to show the SAB committee the work being done and to give everyone a heads up that the committees will need to get together soon to discuss the information on the web pages and removing the workflows from the Implementation Guides and the Appendix C documentation.

      • At this time the webpages are using the data from the Appendix C and Implementation Guides and the BMS, however, the Use Case Pages may need more detailed information or the messages themselves to help give members more information about the benefits of a message.
