Vehicle Title Committee: Ginny Whelan (New Chair)
Closing Project Committees:
Recycled Parts & Inventory (RPI) Committee: Ginny Whelan and Paulette Reed
Recycled Parts and Inventory committee was moved to a project committee earlier this year when CIECA aligned the committees with the services. The work the committee has been working on has been for the EV and the battery, however, with the title of Recycled Parts and Inventory, we are not drawing enough of the industry to these meetings.
It has been decided that we will close Recycled Parts and Inventory Committee because it has fulfilled its objective. We will kick off a new EV committee that Ginny will co-chair, we are hoping to find an OEM to co-chair with Ginny to have beginning and end of life of an EV lifecycle represented.

New Business
Gene discussed the pain points of backordered parts and the California regulations.
Return on consumer demand is allowed when the part is a safety part. At this time repair shops are returning on a tow truck and a liability clause has to be signed by the consumer.
Safety parts such as airbag modules are on backup
The recycled parts doe have some of these parts and working with states on the regulations on getting these parts certified and able to be used while OEM parts are backordered.
The Glossary of terms
CIC is the keeper of the Industry Wiki page and if CIECA identifies new terms, we will work with CIC to get those definitions posted.
