ANTITRUST STATEMENT

As participants in this meeting, we need to be mindful of the constraints of antitrust laws. There shall be no discussions of agreements or concerted actions that may restrain competition. This prohibition includes the exchange of information concerning individual prices, rates, coverages, market practices, claims settlement practices, or any other competitive aspect of an individual company’s operation. Each participant is obligated to speak up immediately for the purpose of preventing any discussion falling outside these bounds.

Agenda

  • Antitrust and Meeting minutes acceptance

  • Reuse of Aggregates Position

  • Work on VIN Decoder API

Meeting Minutes

  • Antitrust Accepted

  • Meeting Minutes Accepted

  • Andy brought the Use of Aggregates CIECA Position up

    • The question was directed at how CIECA Aggregates could help the industry when they are members, but not used within a CIECA Message. For example, in helping build a database or the type of information is needed for an aggregate when building a site.

    • The data Aggregates came from CIECA Members and things like Vehicle Info and Person existed outside of CIECA before it was part of CIECA, however, the best practice is to have people join CIECA to get this information.

    • The Industry using the same descriptions and meanings would be helpful.

    • CIECA membership allows you to develop code how you see fit. As long as members don’t share the CIECA Standards with non CIECA members.

    • We want individuals to bring new issues and data to CIECA to be added to the CIECA standards.

    • Paul is going to take the action item to get the Board to come up with a Policy of Use document.

  • VIN Decoder API

    • Mike presented the Stoplight application and all of the work he did for VIN Decoder.

    • YAML is preferred for hand-written OpenAPI specification (OAS) documents whereas JSON seems to be the preferred output form tools that generate OAS Documents from code.

    • When we use Stoplight the $ref will bring all of the code list values into the source

    • Dan brought up bundling tools are something we still need to look into, they will bring in the code lists that are being used and not all of the code list.

    • We will start adding properties to schema instead of BMS

    • Need to sync GitHub and Stoplight

    • Having a work meeting on Thursday July, 29 to work through Stoplight.

Great Meeting everyone
