ANTITRUST STATEMENT

As participants in this meeting, we need to be mindful of the constraints of antitrust laws. There shall be no discussions of agreements or concerted actions that may restrain competition. This prohibition includes the exchange of information concerning individual prices, rates, coverages, market practices, claims settlement practices, or any other competitive aspect of an individual company’s operation. Each participant is obligated to speak up immediately for the purpose of preventing any discussion falling outside these bounds.

Meeting Minutes

  • Antitrust Accepted

  • Meeting minutes Accepted

    • The link to the Meeting Minutes and Agenda on the invite is not working and needs to be fixed.

  • Coordinate Info will be simplified to only be latitude and longitude with min -180 and max 180

    • Did discuss the direction being in the BMS, but it is seen as being a complication and not necessary.

    • Latitude and longitude are both required under coordinate info.

  • Point of Impact Codes

    • Mike and Paulette, both have a version, we reviewed Mikes version.

      • We need to make sure that POI is Poi in the schema to follow our style guide.

      • It was decided in the meeting that Description is not needed, that it was a Closed Enum in the BMS, so even if Other was selected, it had to be in the code list. There was no way to validate that the Code and the description was in sync, therefore, it was decided that we only needed POI code.

      • Where ‘Other’ was being used before, we would need to add these values to the code list to prevent the use of other.

      • PrimaryPoiCode and an array of secondaryPoiCodes

  • For Simplicity the Massachusetts Town Code, Statute Date, State Litigation Venue, and Federal Litigation Venue is being removed from Claim Info. If someone needs these values added back in the future, it can be discussed at that time.

  • Required Values in Vehicle Info and Claim Info

    • Vehicle Info can be for a boat or motorcycle and may not have the same information. At a Common Global level, it seems best to leave these values as optional and not have required values. This is up for discussion in the next meeting.

  • Dan is going to look for examples of VIN being longer than 17 to pick up on that discussion next week.

  • We do not have examples of production FNOL, however, we hope to have some examples by next week.

  • Moving forward, we see this team needing to simplify the Common Global Type. Paulette will work on more common global types for the next meeting to review.
