 | Collision Repair Procedures | Group | Discussion by the group about the continuing challenges shops face dealing with the different ways that OE’s publish their repair procedures. There was discussion about the potential for CIECA to play a role in developing standards for the exchange and keyword search of repair procedures. This is a straight ahead ‘content management’ problem with multiple publishers of information and multiple different means of presenting the data. Suggestion by Scott Kaboos (Honda) that CIC / CIECA get on the agenda at an upcoming OE Roundtable (SEMA) to present the challenges faced by shops and discuss the potential for developing repair procedure exchange standards. |
