The SAB meeting proposed an Ad-hoc committee to research the emerging technologies that could impact the collision industry.
Paul is going to take this proposal to the Executive committee.
In SAB meeting a comment was made that the Ad-hoc committee needed to stay in focus of Repairer and Collision industry and not move outside that area and discuss government or other areas. This comment seemed restrictive to some. Paul is working on a strategic plan and is meeting with all members of the board, and will work on a resolution as part of the strategic planning.
Ginny Whelan shared a Value Proposition document for RP&I Committee.
The members in attendance agreed the Value Proposition should be shared with the entire committee.
Everyone needs to review the document and come up with questions or approaches to help with the content of the document.
The Open API is an area that the Architecture Committee has decided to take on. They are going to take 1 or 2 messages and create an open API and this will be used as a standard to move all the other messages to Open API.
A number of these topics would be discussed in the Ad-hoc committee and then would be taken to the teams they impact.
ROE is the new standard for Recycled parts in the industry. The PAL is needed for backward compatibility only, the ROE should be used from now on.
ROE should be added to the Rate Type and Part Type in 2021R1 Release.
PAL description in part type should be changed to Parts - Like Kind and Quality (LKQ) to match the other Code List.
No Update on CIC Proposal at this time.
