ANTITRUST STATEMENT

As participants in this meeting, we need to be mindful of the constraints of antitrust laws. There shall be no discussions of agreements or concerted actions that may restrain competition. This prohibition includes the exchange of information concerning individual prices, rates, coverages, market practices, claims settlement practices, or any other competitive aspect of an individual company’s operation. Each participant is obligated to speak up immediately for the purpose of preventing any discussion falling outside these bounds.

  • ARA EV Battery Database.

  • The Industry has more Third Party apps that are being used.

  • ARA is working on the EV database.

    • OE Specific EV batteries

    • 700+ batteries have been identified.

  • For Each battery there will be a process for removal and recycling.

  • The EV battery will need to be part of inventory and processing and will require OE information.

    • Mitchell’s PartsPro database will pull retrieve the part number.

  • There was recently a collision shops webinar

    • 75% of shops can not do ADAS calibrations

    • There is a problem retrieving the standards

  • Recyclers have Car Certification

    • Data Standards vs procedures

    • CIECA helps with the data, but not with the process.

  • Some solutions in the works/

    • Certified Oe Repair Procedures

    • Insurance writing

    • All Data Subscriptions (Info Tech and Mitchell One, etc. )

  • Add Scanning to Recyclers

    • Scan for ADAS

    • Search for Parts

    • look at battery and look at CIECA messages and possible way to identify repurposing

    • EV Chips and EV batteries testing to see health of parts

    • Vin # can be a source to transmit make search parameters good.
