ANTITRUST STATEMENT

As participants in this meeting, we need to be mindful of the constraints of antitrust laws. There shall be no discussions of agreements or concerted actions that may restrain competition. This prohibition includes the exchange of information concerning individual prices, rates, coverages, market practices, claims settlement practices, or any other competitive aspect of an individual company’s operation. Each participant is obligated to speak up immediately for the purpose of preventing any discussion falling outside these bounds.

    • We have not meet for a while do to travel.

    • 3D printing is too new to come up with data requirements.

    • CIECA was not able to find a speaker due to conferences and travel plans in the industry, but we did do some research and want to share that.

      • Alexa

        • Navigation for direction, music anywhere, smart home, calling, productivity to set reminders and add to calendar, get news and information.

        • Alexa has integrations with OEMS and provides implementation guides for users.

          • Some may need OEM subscription

        • Alexa API is completely open

          • Once Alexa is integrated in the vehicle, does that require a different process?

        • Repair Driven News Article to discuss PII for Total loss and how to erase all the information of PII from these vehicles.

          • How can we serve our customers better by removing PII data and do we need new codes to do this, or new workflows are an indicator that it was removed.

          • There are some services and apps to clean the PII.

          • The data has to be cleared before it can be sold, so it is part of contracts.

        • Could we have a workflow platform that stores the data that says PII has been cleared

          • Estimating platforms will stop writing if the appraiser reaches 75%, so not all data is stored

          • Look at Salvage management platforms

          • The owner has the car until they are released, and owner is selling car to insurance company. The insurance company should validate the PII is cleared.

          • Good value add is to let customer know the PII has been removed.

        • Nobody knew what car they were looking at; they only knew it was an Alexa car.

          • People will buy a car because it is an Alexa car

          • What all things are Alexa doing? If Alexa stars routing to preferred shops are sending assignments to the vehicle. It is in cloud and not in the car.

            • Alexa must be sending the assignment to the dealership

            • What forms do we have to complete an assignment

        • Android Automotive is a base android platform that runs pre-installed IVI System Android applications as well as optional second- and third-party Android Applications. Operating systems on Vehicle.

        • Android Auto has platform running on user's phone projecting the Android Auto.

          • Navigation Support and hands-free calling or texting.

        • Aftermarket providers for older vehicles to have these services are great. These are tapped into the CAN system and can interfere with the diagnostics of a vehicle.

      • Others

        • Fleet Managment needs to be looked at.

          • LIFT and UBER are platforms that are in the Vehicle to help notify consumers

          • There are big fleets of vehicles

          • CIECA can develop standards around vehicle management of a fleet.

            • People are going to lease and use new systems where they can pay a fee for a month with an app and get a car that includes the price of the vehicle and insurance.

    • All of these have terms and agreements to control privacy between the OEM and the Third Party.

      • Consumer is not part of the agreement

    • Google and Apple have some of the solutions in the car and not all on the cloud like Alexa.
