ANTITRUST STATEMENT

As participants in this meeting, we need to be mindful of the constraints of antitrust laws. There shall be no discussions of agreements or concerted actions that may restrain competition. This prohibition includes the exchange of information concerning individual prices, rates, coverages, market practices, claims settlement practices, or any other competitive aspect of an individual company’s operation. Each participant is obligated to speak up immediately for the purpose of preventing any discussion falling outside these bounds.

      • UMITW Illinois Tool Works is our parent company that owns Miller Electric now Miller Electric has been in existence independently for about 90 years and we were absorbed by Illinois Tool Works.

      • Miller Electric started the journey into augmented reality world to help with the pain points and the industry trends that we are seeing as one of the leading global manufacturers of welders. Then we will talk about what we are seeing in manufacturing overall in the space of augmented reality. We will wrap up by going over our personal augmented reality portfolio that we have space in.

      • Showed a video of Products

      • Carrers in welding are on the rise but attracting students to a career in welding can be a challenge.

        • Augmented reality lets students be fulling engaged in the welding experience.

        • Facilitates muscle memory

        • immediate feedback on skills to help a student know what they need to work on

        • Mobile so can be transported to any location

        • Good Student to Instructor ratio in labs

      • Technicians in the Collision industry need to pass welding.

        • has the mobile Arc or the augmented arc been introduced to ICAR?

          • Yes

        • The cost varies depending on the type of arc, but the mobile arc allows for training without a change in your facility.

    • Stacey has reached out to two other companies that have shown interest in sharing information about their augmented systems, but they were unavailable this week.

    • Next Steps

      • Committee feels that there was good education with augmented reality but no data or CIECA messages at this time.

      • Moving on to next steps with Blockchain
