  • Cyber Security is #3 in the list prioritized.

    • Secure Gateway modules

    • How do we see cyber security impacting CIECA standards?

    • Each manufacturer can have its own secure gateway.

    • SAE has working committees to discuss secure gateway; Chuck will dig to see where the manufacturers are and heading.

    • Secure Gateway modules were developed when Jeep was overtaken remotely. The Secure Gateway is supposed to isolate all vehicle control from outside impact and influence and prevent the vehicle programming from being changed.

    • Secure Gateway is why SCAN Tools have to be validated.

    • At this time, it does not appear that Cyber Security or any data that is part of Cyber Security would fall under the CIECA messaging and data.

  • Electrification is #4 and #5 is Artificial Intelligence with #6 being Supply Chain. With Supply Chain being a huge impact to the Collision Industry at this time, should it be moved up and the next focus?

  • Supply Chain

    • CIECA has messages for Parts and Procurement and Invoice and comments that are used through the supply chain Lifecyle and workflow. Is there changes in these messages that can be done in the industry to help the supply chain?

    • Can Messages or Emails to the customer be standardized for backordered parts messages from estimating systems?
