ANTITRUST STATEMENT

As participants in this meeting, we need to be mindful of the constraints of antitrust laws. There shall be no discussions of agreements or concerted actions that may restrain competition. This prohibition includes the exchange of information concerning individual prices, rates, coverages, market practices, claims settlement practices, or any other competitive aspect of an individual company’s operation. Each participant is obligated to speak up immediately for the purpose of preventing any discussion falling outside these bounds.

Agenda

  • Antitrust

  • New Approach to Semi-Annual Meeting

  • CIECA Confluence Committee Spaces

  • Technical CIECAST for each Release

  • New Committees being proposed (Emerging Technology and Open API/JSON)

  • Committee open forum discussion to discuss your segment of the industry.

Meeting Minutes

  • In review of CIECA.com changes, it was mentioned that the Alternate Board Members pictures may be displayed.

  • Mike Hastings, Chair of both Repair Order and PMP volunteered to look at the current member list and help clean up the members that are no longer in the industry and help recruit new members for these committees.

    • Cindy volunteered to help Mike with this process.

  • Open Forum

    • We may need to make some changes to the Part Type and Vehicle Aggregates.

    • In the Repair order message we should remove Property.

    • It may be better to break up the Parts message and the Material message.

    • PMP Committee has heard that the Procurement messages is hard for the Parts centers to implement. This has lead many parts organizations to create their own implementation of this message.

      • For example, the one off implementations that parts is providing takes a few hours to implement, and the CIECA Procurement message takes at least 2 days to review for implementation.

      • Should we make changes to the BMS for these messages?

        • It appears the focus on JSON would be more beneficial than making changes to the BMS.

    • New JSON

      • Any Choice in XML schema causes issues with the JSON version that CIECA provided in the 2020R1 release.

      • CIECA is behind with JSON, because most parts organizations has implemented a message in JSON already.

      • Most developers prefer JSON because it is lighter and part of Java Script, which means less work for implementing.

    • Committee Reactivation and Kickoff

      • The CIECA staff have been working on a communication campaign to help generate interest in the new committees that we are kicking off.

      • The CIECA staff hopes that all Chairs will be volunteering to help look at committee members as Mike has volunteered.

      • Look for campaign kickoff Mid January 2021.

Great Meeting Everyone and Thank you for your participation and continued support of CIECA.

Please reach out if you have interest in being in one of the New Committees starting 2021.

Have a Great Weekend
