ANTITRUST STATEMENT

As participants in this meeting, we need to be mindful of the constraints of antitrust laws. There shall be no discussions of agreements or concerted actions that may restrain competition. This prohibition includes the exchange of information concerning individual prices, rates, coverages, market practices, claims settlement practices, or any other competitive aspect of an individual company’s operation. Each participant is obligated to speak up immediately for the purpose of preventing any discussion falling outside these bounds.

  • Antitrust statement was read and the meeting minutes were accepted

  • Education Committee Chair Kathy Goddard has not attended regular meetings and has not responded to emails asking about her future involvement. We talked about new committee chair(s) for future Education Committee meetings. Don Porter offered to assist.

  • CIECAST webinars for 2021: An overview of the upcoming CIECAST webinars was given.

    • March 25 - Mitchell, Tractable and Claims Genius will present about claims automation.

    • April - 2021R1: This will be one of two technical webinars held during the year.

    • May - Safelite will present on glass repair.

  • Video

    • Current companies are quoting more than CIECA’s budget - $4,500-$5,000.

    • We talked about reaching out to pr departments for referral.

  • CONNEX

    • MC - Bill might not be able to attend due to NABC conflict. Stacey will double check.

    • A Save the Date announcement & Call for Speakers form will be sent out to the industry.

    • Presentation ideas:

      • A suggestion was made to ask committee members to contribute ideas for presentations/presenters.

      • We can share Hendrick Motorsports promotional video at conference and ask them to talk about how technology is affecting company. Paul suggested asking Hendricks' engineering team to talk about exchanging data and other developments.

      • Kelly suggested having a motivational speaker discuss soft skills, similar to Sheryl Diggers' presentation in 2019.

      • Susanna Gotsch – CCC – to discuss trends, legislation, impacts, economy.

      • Local collision repair shop to speak.

      • Local legislator.

      • Recycling ideas/projects: impacts on management companies, parts procurement.

      • Ask lawyer to talk about data integration protection, how to protect organization; discuss CIECA’s position based on Information Privacy Committee’s work. Paul will be giving a presentation at CIC

    • Don talked about the possibility of CIECA podcasts and will send a sample.
