Agenda

Antitrust and Approval of Minutes
CIECAST Webinars 2022

Minutes

  • The Antitrust statement was read and the meeting minutes were accepted.

  • CIECA Webinars 2022

    • Non-technical webinars:

      • January: Susanna Gotsch, CCC Intelligent Solutions, will be presenting

      • February: Kyle Weber, State Farm, will be presenting about blockchain.

      • March: Brandon Laur, CCi Global Technologies, will present about data security and privacy.

      • OEM panel: Steve asked what the focus should be for this panel. This led to a discussion about ensuring CIECA’s message is tied into the CIECAST webinars. Phil suggested building in a conversation about CIECA/CIECA standards during the CIECAST webinars. We need to think outside the box and address the role CIECA plays. Stacey will reach out to Frank Terlep for ideas since he mentioned the role of CIECA standards during a CIC presentation. Maybe we incorporate a process where someone technical is on the webinar and brings up points and/or asks questions at the end of the webinar.

      • Steve brought up FNOL and asked if there is a technology recommendation on how to tap into the information related to FNOL. We could include information about FNOL tied to insurance and how it relates to the entire ecosystem. Dustin talked about the easy integration with any partner.

      • Phil mentioned that we need bring together the technical and business segments so the technical side is easy to understand for the business representatives. He also mentioned that we need to ask new members how we can help their businesses during the onboarding process. Don suggested having new members be part of a panel discussion talking about how CIECA Standards changed their businesses. Paul mentioned Wurth and Broadly showing interest in getting involved with CIECA. We could also bring together members on a quarterly basis to talk about their businesses and CIECA Standards/share ideas.

      • Stacey was thinking of reaching out to Ryan Mandell at Mitchell as a possible speaker and Phil said he is an excellent presenter and very knowledgeable. Stacey will share information with committee about his writings/podcasts.

      • Steve mentioned Alan Demurs as a possible speaker from the insure-tech segment.

      • Stacey asked if anyone was familiar with Steven Greenfield. She will do some research on his area of focus.

      • PartsTrader was brought up as a possible presenter talking about the process of bringing OEM and aftermarket parts to the collision and insurance industries.

      • We decided to hold the next committee meeting on December 8.

Great meeting. Thank you everyone for your input!
