20201 CIECAST
Ford is presenting on Electric Vehicles during the November CIECAST.
The JSON technical CIECAST was never announced and currently no speaker, so it is being placed on hold.
Moving forward, the CIECA team would like to hold two technical webinars each year following the releases to go over the updates. This will provide everyone an update and a chance to ask questions.
The time change of the CIECASTS will be moved to 2 EST starting in January.
Stacey shared her document of all the topics and ideas for 2021
Breaking out each of the topics from the Future Disruptions webinar to get greater detail on the disruptions and how CIECA can help with the solution.
Electrification of Cars
A new CIECA committee was proposed to handle the challenges of the EV.
Governor of California announced today that no new gas cars would be sold by 2030-2035.
Charging Stations
Battery Council update
Battery Recycling after vehicle is no longer a vehicle but battery is good.
AI augmented Repairs are interesting topic to the group
CIECA founders round table
Everyone is interested in Where CIECA came from and the changes and the where it is going.
We could combine where we came from and where we are going.
Founders of CIECA are big names in the Collision Industry and bring a large audience.
3D Printing
This is a rapid developing area that the committee has interest in.
CIECA Members
Give an update from members on what they are doing in the Collision Industry and how they are using CIECA.
CAPA
How would this apply to CIECA?
IoT World Conference
Can they tailor a message? This would need more research.
Blockchain
State Farm and USAA were using blockchain before COVID but have not heard much about it since COVID.
A larger number of participants need to be included for the priority.
CIC meeting called out CIECA for not identifying parts.
At one time, it was agreed that CIC should be the one that identified the parts; the members from CIECA Committees noted this in the CIC meeting.
CIC and CIECA need to determine who is the best to fix this problem; it is not part of the current CIECA business strategy, but maybe it is time for CIECA to change.
Paul is sending out a survey to the CIECA Board of Directors to survey the Business Strategy for CIECA 2021 and will be interviewing them based off the survey results. During the November 2020 Board of Directors meeting, they will go over the findings of the survey and interviews to determine if CIECA’s Vision should change.
Thank you everyone for sharing your feedback, and please share the ideas for upcoming topics with others to get good turnout. Stay Healthy!
