ANTITRUST STATEMENT

As participants in this meeting, we need to be mindful of the constraints of antitrust laws. There shall be no discussions of agreements or concerted actions that may restrain competition. This prohibition includes the exchange of information concerning individual prices, rates, coverages, market practices, claims settlement practices, or any other competitive aspect of an individual company’s operation. Each participant is obligated to speak up immediately for the purpose of preventing any discussion falling outside these bounds.

  • Can this be used by other areas than rental?

    • The Referral message by CIECA will be created so all industry segments can use the message, the example in the demo was from a rental perspective.

    • The API endpoints for Tow, Rental, OEM will be different to provide the data needed for the specific industry segment. For example, the Vehicle Needed is something that a rental provider will need but not something a Tow would need. Tow would need location of the vehicle, where renter needs location of renter.

    • The OEM would be able to use this with Vehicle Requested to help provide customers with vehicles that matched the criteria they are expecting. We do not need a person driving a Cadillac to be renting a Chevy Echo, we do not need someone that is driving a Large SUV to be rented a small car. The OEM could use the location services to help find the correct providers and to help provide the correct vehicle.

  • The page design shown by EHI for the Marketplace is something CIECA should look into.

    • The API pages in CIECA do look similar to these pages.

  • Paulette will work on the workflows and Use Cases with the information Ramesh has provided and show at the next meeting.
