ANTITRUST STATEMENT
As participants in this meeting, we need to be mindful of the constraints of antitrust laws. There shall be no discussions of agreements or concerted actions that may restrain competition. This prohibition includes the exchange of information concerning individual prices, rates, coverages, market practices, claims settlement practices, or any other competitive aspect of an individual company’s operation. Each participant is obligated to speak up immediately for the purpose of preventing any discussion falling outside these bounds.
Operating Guidelines
To incorporate all potential business entities in the business processes of Authorization Services.
To work with the Authorization Committee to respond to committee goals and timelines.
To provide an open working relationship with the Authorization Committee within the antitrust guidelines.
To approve the recommended changes to the Authorization Service(s).

Background
The Authorization Committee’s objective is electronically exchange messages relating to authorization request, obtaining Authorization and maintaining or canceling an authorization.
The Authorization Committee consist of two CIECA Standards Committees that contributed to the Authorization Services being merged to focus on Authorization. The documentation for Repair Status and Rental Committees have been merged.
Mission
CIECA’s Authorization Committee’s goal is to develop and maintain messaging standards aimed at automating the Authorization message within the collision industry.
