ANTITRUST STATEMENT

As participants in this meeting, we need to be mindful of the constraints of antitrust laws. There shall be no discussions of agreements or concerted actions that may restrain competition. This prohibition includes the exchange of information concerning individual prices, rates, coverages, market practices, claims settlement practices, or any other competitive aspect of an individual company’s operation. Each participant is obligated to speak up immediately for the purpose of preventing any discussion falling outside these bounds.

Video Progress
- The Board approved to develop a video to introduce CIECA and it was put on hold due to the knowledge sharing and training of Paul and Paulette. Now the team is looking into starting this project back up and Paul has created a Survey Monkey for the Education Committee to fill out and share feedback for the video.

- What is CIECA?
  - Example: Platform for the Digital replacement standards.
  - Example: CIECA provides a common language to allow the collision industry to electronically communicate.
  - Example: Allows software to talk to software in other organizations within collision industry. CIECA creates the common language to allow this to happen.
  - Example: Cash machines used to be electronic, but you were only able to use a machine that was with your provider, then banking systems started standardizing electronic messages so cash machines could talk to other banks and money providers. Now we can go to any machine to get money. CIECA develops the standards for the Collision industry.
- Elevator Speech of What is CIECA to publish.
- The question was brought up if this was one video or a sequence of videos?
  - Goal is to do a couple, but we need a “Get to know CIECA” video first; and hopefully, this video will draw momentum for the future videos.
- How long of a video are we expecting to have?
  - Thinking a 2-3 min video

  - First need to decide on message to determine if a txt or animated video is best.
- Agreement to send survey to get feedback for next steps.

CIECAST
- 350 people registered to attend the Aug 11, 2020 CIECAST with Connor Smith on the topic of The Importance of OEM Certification.
- About 200 people attended the CIECAST.
- There was a specific individual who did not share the ideas of the presenter, but it was handled professionally. It is probably best to only share attendee questions/comments with organizers, rather than all attendees.
- 3 organizations mentioned/shared the CIECAST on their social media platforms.
- Next/September CIECAST will be presented by Frank Terlep and Jake Rodenroth on the Future Disrupters of the Collision Industry.
  - The committee wants to make sure this is not the same presentation that was already seen; and that this presentation focuses on how CIECA can help with the disrupters.
- Upcoming CIECASTS
  - Cybersecurity for October topic ideas:
    - Risk of people working at home, cyber standards for remote workforce.
    - Vehicles communicating with other devices like gas pumps to get credit card information.
    - Body shops scanning cars for information.
    - Risk of vehicles with driver assist information being hacked like the Jeep a couple years ago.
  - Ford will present on EVs in November.
  - The 2021 CIECAST will be reviewed after Paul and the Executive committee set strategic plan for 2021.
    - Recommendation: OEM involvement in insurance and how this changes collision industry.
- ARA conference cancelled and meeting going virtual. Meeting first week of November.
