ANTITRUST STATEMENT

As participants in this meeting, we need to be mindful of the constraints of antitrust laws. There shall be no discussions of agreements or concerted actions that may restrain competition. This prohibition includes the exchange of information concerning individual prices, rates, coverages, market practices, claims settlement practices, or any other competitive aspect of an individual company’s operation. Each participant is obligated to speak up immediately for the purpose of preventing any discussion falling outside these bounds.

Meeting Minutes

  • The antitrust agreement was read and the minutes were approved.

  • A CONNEX Survey was sent out and results will be shared during the CIECA CONNEX Planning Committee meeting on Oct. 24

  • We discussed the pronunciation/spelling of the word “CIECAST.” Phil and Rick recommended adding a graphic in the word, certain coloring, an overlay, or changing the font. Phil said we could come up with a new name and Paulette added that similar to “CIECA Simplified,” we could rename the webinars. Rick pointed out that people are familiar with the word CIECAST.

  • CIC flyer: We talked about designing a flyer to hand out at CIC. Phil said that based on the audience there, we might want to highlight the following committees: Calibration, Emerging Technologies and OEM Repair Procedures. Rick agreed.

  • Red Carpet Awards: We discussed the wording for the Red Carpet Awards.

  • SEMA Show: A social media post was sent out inviting members to let us know where their booths are located at SEMA and we will stop by to take a photo.
