ANTITRUST STATEMENT
As participants in this meeting, we need to be mindful of the constraints of antitrust laws. There shall be no discussions of agreements or concerted actions that may restrain competition. This prohibition includes the exchange of information concerning individual prices, rates, coverages, market practices, claims settlement practices, or any other competitive aspect of an individual company’s operation. Each participant is obligated to speak up immediately for the purpose of preventing any discussion falling outside these bounds.

Marketing of CIECA CONNEX Conference
Meeting Minutes
The antitrust agreement was read and the minutes were approved.
Marketing of CIECA CONNEX Conference: We reviewed the communication that has already been shared about the conference through email campaigns, press releases and social media.
Chad was thanked for finding an Allstate vehicle for the Recycled Rides gifting. Melissa offered to help find a shop to repair the car if needed.
Kelly asked if Mike Hastings was speaking during the conference. We set up a time to discuss it after the Marketing Committee meeting.
We currently have about 64 people registered to attend the event. Melissa suggested providing in-depth information about the presentations on social media, especially because we have a strong agenda.
She also suggested adding board testimonials about the conference on social media. Kelly said there are conference testimonials we can use from the prior CIECA video we created. We also have testimonials from the survey we sent out last year. If we are looking for more technical people to attend the conference, Melissa suggested creating LinkedIn sponsored ads to target an IT audience. Paulette mentioned that the QA will bring in more technical representation. The QA will be attended by those in the Architecture Committee who are already familiar with the new CIECA Standards. Next year, we might want to look at targeted ads to draw a more technical audience, especially if we are going to have technical presentations. This year, the presentations are business-focused because the standards are in the early-stages of being created.
Kelly suggested adding photos of prior conferences to social media as a “Throwback”-type post to illustrate the fun of the conference. She also suggested balancing photos with graphics since photos tend to attract higher engagement.
During the last meeting, Kelly brought up the idea of a referral program. In the past, Car-Part.com has added a field on the registration page asking registrants to note where they heard about the conference. If they learned about from another attendee, the company would refund a certain percentage to that person. Paul will look at the logistics of adding a similar type program this year.
