ANTITRUST STATEMENT

As participants in this meeting, we need to be mindful of the constraints of antitrust laws. There shall be no discussions of agreements or concerted actions that may restrain competition. This prohibition includes the exchange of information concerning individual prices, rates, coverages, market practices, claims settlement practices, or any other competitive aspect of an individual company’s operation. Each participant is obligated to speak up immediately for the purpose of preventing any discussion falling outside these bounds.

Meeting Minutes

  • The Antitrust statement was read and agreed upon.

  • Paul shared the draft position statement for discussion. Steve suggested removing the last sentence because it may cause confusion. Lance and the committee agreed.

    • “The use of CIECA Standards in the development of API’s and webservices can help companies ensure they have a comprehensive information privacy program.”

  • Paul will share the draft position statement with CIECA Board of Trustees during the board meeting on 4/13.

  • Brandon Laur and Dan Mcfarlane from CCI attended the committee meeting for the first time. Steve invited them to give an overview about their company and share their knowledge in the area of information privacy and security. It was suggested that they might be able to provide a general quote if a press release was distributed to the industry about the position statement. Brandon is scheduled to speak at the upcoming CONNEX Conference.
