Agenda

  • Financials - Sep 2023

  • CONNEX Financials

  • 2022 Financial Review Audit – In Process

  • Liability Insurance Update

  • 2024 Budget

Meeting Minutes

  • Paul shared Sept 2023 financials. We are ahead of budget and in good shape.

    • One area of concern is two large MSO’s that have had changes in leadership / primary contact in the last year and who don’t understand who / what CIECA is. Driven Brands and Crash Champions. Ashley Dennison is going to check to see if she has any contacts that can help.

  • We looked at CONNEX 2023 financials which were positive and yielded a $20k profit on the event.

    • Attendance was up sharply from past years with 150 attendees.

    • Jeff Dietrich asked if it was more companies attending or more people from existing companies. The answer is both, we had a number of companies who had not attended in the past as well as more attendees from companies who have attended in the past. A positive for the conference.

  • Paul is working with VonLehman & Associates to conduct a financial review of 2022 in compliance with the bylaws.

    • Paul is actively working to upload the requested documentation and we expect the audit to be complete by the 4th quarter of 2023.

  • We have secured a general liability insurance policy which we should have given our conference and board meetings. The cost was $776.

  • It is time to start working on the 2024 budget. We will use our accounting package (Zoho Books) to generate a budget based on historical numbers and update it to address inflation or other anticipated changes. Paul will share a draft budget with the Finance Committee at our next meeting.

  • Meeting adjourned.
