ANTITRUST STATEMENT

As participants in this meeting, we need to be mindful of the constraints of antitrust laws. There shall be no discussions of agreements or concerted actions that may restrain competition. This prohibition includes the exchange of information concerning individual prices, rates, coverages, market practices, claims settlement practices, or any other competitive aspect of an individual company’s operation. Each participant is obligated to speak up immediately for the purpose of preventing any discussion falling outside these bounds.

Minutes

  • The Antitrust statement was read and the meeting minutes were accepted.

  • Member Engagement: Paul explained that one of the key objectives for 2022 is to improve member engagement. Based on information from an industry and member survey, CIECA has found that BMS is often perceived as confusing. Paul shared a PowerPoint presentation (see file attached below) outlining some of the challenges and possible ways to address them.

    • CIECA Products/Standards Design: Many of the terms CIECA has been using aren’t standard industry terms. Paul proposed to begin using standard industry terms and reorganize the website according to CIECA’s products. He provided a sample of what the new pages would look like. The committee was very supportive of the changes.

  • SCRS Ad: We shared the draft SCRS ad Paul created with the committee. Don P. suggested adding color to the graphic showing the different industry segments. We then discussed if the right message is being communicated. The ad will be included in the SCRS e-catalog, which is targeted to collision repairers. Since that is not our primary target market for membership, we talked about the ad focusing on awareness of CEICA. Don E. suggested including wording along the lines of “keeping data clean.” Most shops don’t have direct involvement with CIECA but they have business partners who use CIECA Standards. Don P. suggested wording that reminded collision repairers that if they use applications offered by other companies, to make sure they are using CIECA Standards. Kelly suggested listing the member logos on the backside of the ad if possible or pointing people to look at http://www.cieca.com to see which companies use CIECA Standards. Both Don P. and Kelly offered to have their designers look at the ad. The ad will also be shared with the Marketing Committee.

  • CIECAST Webinars 2022

    • February: Kyle Weber from State Farm was originally scheduled to present but was unable to due to personal reasons. Brandon Laur from CCi Global Technologies is going to present instead and will team up with Steve Drizz, CISO, during the presentation.

    • March: Since Brandon Laur was originally scheduled to present in March, the committee was asked if they had a preference for the March presenter: MSO/Network panel discussion, paint panel discussion or Mary Mahoney from Enterprise. The committee agreed that all were good options.

  • CONNEX

    • Location/Hotel: Nashville has been chosen as the location for the next CIECA CONNEX Conference. Paul has spent time reaching out to hotels and has been unsuccessful finding an available hotel in the downtown area. He asked committee members if there were any industry events they knew of at the beginning of October in case we need to reschedule the conference. None were identified.

    • Graphic: We shared the proposed conference graphic Paul created. Kelly liked the simplicity of the graphic. Don suggested adding the month and date of the conference.

    • Presenters: We will begin discussing possible presenters at the next Education Committee meeting.

Great meeting. Thank you everyone for your input!
