CIECAST 2021 webinars
Topics were shared for upcoming webinars.
We discussed having a common look on the first page of the presentations that could also be used as a thumbnail on YouTube. Melissa shared an example from IBIS that incorporates a headshot of the speaker. All agreed with this approach.
Paulette provided an update about the creation of an Emerging Technologies Data Standards Committee, which is being announced today.
Ideas were shared on how to reach more OEMs. They included: Adapt magazine, DigIn update, ACE conference.
Paulette gave an update about the CIECA OpenAPI Standards initiative.
We talked about having a unique image for each of the committees.
The CIECA Newsletter draft was shown and the committee liked the layout and sending it out on a quarterly basis. CIECA blue is the preferred shade. Attendees like a clean look using blue and white, rather than red. Chad suggested adding a section to spotlight board members and another suggestion was made to include the names of new members.
An idea was shared to ask board members to forward the newsletter to others in their companies who might be interested in learning more and getting involved. “Please share with your team.”
A suggestion was made to set up a short questionnaire asking those who unsubscribe to the newsletter why they are doing so.
We brainstormed ideas on how to encourage more new members to have an announcement written. We could say that it is standard procedure.
Video Project (script, look and feel)
Attendees felt the script should be shortened and broken down into several shorter 30-45-second segments that could be spliced together.
Animation, especially whiteboard, is preferred over using people in the industry because it will date quicker. Someone well-known in the industry could do the voiceover.
We could include testimonials.
