The Board approved to develop a video to introduce CIECA and it was put on hold with knowledge share and training of Paul and Paulette. Now the team is looking into starting this project back up and Paul has created a Survey Monkey for review to make sure it has the information on it to get feedback for the video.

Example: Platform for the Digital replacement standards.
Example: CIECA provides common language to allow collision industry to electronically communicate.
Example: Allows software to talk to software in other organizations within collision industry. CIECA creates the common language to allow this to happen.
Example: Cash machines use to be electronic, but you were only able to use a machine that was with your provider, then banking system started standardizing electronic messages so cash machines could talk to other banks and money providers and now we can go to any machine to get money. CIECA does the standards for Collision industry.

CIECAST
350 people registered to attend the Aug 11, 2020 CIECAST with Connor Smith on the topic of The Importance of OEM certification.
200 people attended the CIECAST.
There was people that did not share the ideas of the presenter, but it was handled professionally.
3 Organizations mentioned/shared the CIECAST on their social media platforms.
Next/September CIECAST will be presented by Frank Terlep and Jake Rodenroth on the Future Disrupters of the Collision Industry.
The committee wants to make sure this is not the same presentation that was already seen; and that this presentation focuses on how CIECA can help with the disrupters.
Coming up CIECAST
Cyber Security for October Topic ideas:
Risk of people working at home, cyber standards for remote workforce.
Vehicles communicating with other devices like gas pumps to get credit card information.
Body shops scanning cars for information.
Risk of vehicles with driver assist information being hacked like the Jeep a couple years ago.
Ford will present on EVs in November.
The 2021 CIECAST will be reviewed after Paul and the Executive committee get strategic plan for 2021.
Recommendation: How OEM take over insurance and how this changes collision industry.
ARA conference cancelled and all meeting going virtual. Meeting first week of November.
