Passing of Michael Lloyd, past CIECA chair

CIECA is sad to share that former Chair Michael Lloyd, who retired from California Casualty, passed away. Lloyd served on the CIECA board for many years, and was the chair from January 2009 through December 2011.

A memorial service is planned on February 11 at at 11 am PT at the Kern Mortuary, 16120 Main St., in Hesperia, Calif.

In lieu of flowers, please send a card to Carolyn with your memories of Michael so that she can read them later c/o CollisionWeek. Details are included in the attached article.

Reminder 2

CIECA is forming an electric vehicle (EV) and electric battery committee. The committee will be chaired by Frank Phillips, Rivian; Jake Rodenroth, Lucid Motors; and Ginny Whelan, Automotive Recyclers Association. The first meeting is March 1 and all interested parties are welcome to join.

Paulette Reed, CIECA's technical project manager, said the committee will discuss how EVs will change the current business workflows and data. New workflows will be created and then used to generate new messages and data elements so the industry can continue sharing data electronically.
