ANTITRUST STATEMENT

As participants in this meeting, we need to be mindful of the constraints of antitrust laws. There shall be no discussions of agreements or concerted actions that may restrain competition. This prohibition includes the exchange of information concerning individual prices, rates, coverages, market practices, claims settlement practices, or any other competitive aspect of an individual company’s operation. Each participant is obligated to speak up immediately for the purpose of preventing any discussion falling outside these bounds.

Meeting Minutes

  • Antitrust Agreed upon.

  • Meeting Minutes accepted

    • The meeting minutes on Confluence was able to be viewed without issue.

  • Proposal to CIC for Recycler Repairer Advisory Panel was accepted Dropbox/WorkingDocs/CIC Proposal New Committee

    • Next steps is to take it to CIECA Board for approval to send

      • Who should send to CIC? (CIECA, or Ginny as Chair of the CIECA RP&I Committee, All Committee members)

      • Committee thinks it would get more exposure coming from CIECA.

  • EV Workflow

    • Ginny has reached out to members of the CIECA Board and made the proposal that she would send a letter to the CIECA Board to start a new committee for EV Technology.

      • CIECA statement says it connects the industry and this committee feels that more areas need to be involved on the electric vehicle discussion.

      • The Board is meeting tomorrow (9/16/2020) and in the RP&I slide, Paulette will mention the EV Technology and see if there is any Board feedback. Then she will get back with Ginny for any feedback to provide in her letter to request a new committee.

      • Things to consider for a committee

        • The EV car is larger than recycled parts

        • If the CIECA Board agrees

          • A meeting will need to be put together of all stakeholders (need OE representation), Paulette will send out meeting.

          • Initial meeting should get the objective/Vision of the New Committee and find out if there is enough industry interest.

        • CIECA will determine messages impacted

        • CIECA to determine workflows that are impacted

  • Battery is an aggregate that this committee can work on without a new committee.

  • Update on Insurance

    • AI is more in play and it may become necessary to look at the messages and if there is any need to change for the AI process.

Great short meeting everyone, lots of next steps identified to keep us going.
