Categories
We should follow the categories that SRS and cross reference the OEM Categories
Use SCRS for top level categories and OEM for secondary categories
OEMs have different categories based on the make of the car, therefor, the categories are all over the place.
We have 20 different manufacturers and 200 different vehicles, that is a lot of information.
We need to accumulate more OEM and see what group numbers are and see where we overlap
Frank Shared All Data webpage and looked at using All Data for the categories and Paul Marshall spoke to the data
All data was referred to as taxonomy and it is old, so all these new systems that came out after the initial creation of the hierarchy, you will find that all data had a shoehorn in things and areas that sometimes don’t make sense.
A lot of collision customers utilize the library request service.
They system is dated and could use the help of the industry to find improvements.
Screenshot of the categories was sent in the chat of the meeting.
