    • Create Battery lifecycle

Meeting Minutes

  • Antitrust was accepted

  • Meeting minutes was accepted

  • All Workflows Reviewed and Approved

  • All Implementation Documents and Appendix C Reviewed and Approved.

  • Demo of cieca.info

  • Brainstorm Session

    • We have Battery today in the BMS identified as a Part, but there are aspects that are now part of a battery that are not a part. The battery health is one data element that we will need that is not in the current BMS.

    • Who defines the Health of a battery

    • When will the Health of a battery be determined and able to share, will it be part of an Estimate, Part of a Total Loss?

    • ICAR press release showed the check off sheets to show health of battery. There are other High Voltage equipment on a vehicle besides the battery, like the water pump.

    • We need to work with insurance to get a better understanding of the impact of the battery to recyclers.

    • Safety sheets should come with car and recyclers should be informed what they are receiving.

    • Recommended for the Committee to reach out to ICAR, and Ginny said she would reach out to them.

      • Hope to get a printable sheet of the Check off Sheet and maybe see about online courses.

    • Don had to leave the meeting, but wanted to give a quick shout out to Mark Allen for a great presentation at the URG conference.

    • Recyclers will need to know what is holding voltage on a vehicle, this will be critical for safety.

    • Recyclers need to know Shelf Life, How to store high voltage items, the value and if there is partial life in a battery.

  • Mark is still on the ICAR Board and will help this Committee where he can.

    • Recommended starting with looking at local, State Regulations on storing battery, there is no standard for this at the time.

  • Next Steps is to work on the workflow and build the above into the workflow for clarity.

Great Work! Ginny has lots of homework and may call a meeting before the next scheduled meeting.
