ANTITRUST STATEMENT

As participants in this meeting, we need to be mindful of the constraints of antitrust laws. There shall be no discussions of agreements or concerted actions that may restrain competition. This prohibition includes the exchange of information concerning individual prices, rates, coverages, market practices, claims settlement practices, or any other competitive aspect of an individual company’s operation. Each participant is obligated to speak up immediately for the purpose of preventing any discussion falling outside these bounds.

  • To incorporate all potential business entities in the business processes of Attachment Services.

  • To work with the Attachment Committee to respond to committee goals and timelines.

  • To provide an open working relationship with the Attachment Committee within the antitrust guidelines.

  • To approve the recommended changes to the Attachment Service(s).


CIECA Message(s):

Attachment Services: Embedded Attachment (CERs sent in a message containing the CER only ) and Attachment Locations (CERs sent in a message containing CER only at a location (e.g web sites) and Integrity Validation (Verifies the CER information is the same as that was sent

Attachment Services: Integrity Validation verifies the SCAN information is the same as that was sent.


Background

The Attachment Committee’s objective is electronically exchange messages relating to a vehicle damage and repair, with other parties to create efficiencies in the process. 

The emphasis is on improving customer service in the inspection and repair process being stressed by all segments of the industry. 

The Attachment Committee consist of two CIECA Standards Committees that contributed to the Attachment Service being merged to focus on Attachment. The documentation for CER and SCAN Committees have been merged.

Mission

CIECA’s Attachment Committee’s goal is to develop and maintain messaging standards aimed at automating the Attachment message within the collision industry.
