Went over the ARA Glossary of Terms Document that Ginny shared with the team, we did not go over in detail in the meeting, just ask everyone to look over the documentation to discuss offline and review in the next meeting.

Insurance Total Loss is Vehicle Repair more than value of a car; recyclers End of Life is when there is no more value. The ARA document helps define the recyclers point of view.

OE is pressing to use new OE Parts and not recycled parts when repairing a vehicle.
Recycle Me
When a vehicle realizes it is a total loss can it send a message to the recyclers to recycle me?
Can OE create a recycle message?
Recyclers will need to define if a vehicle can be rebuilt or recycled. So Reuse or Recycle
AI telematics will allow a vehicle to determine its damage and value and decide if it goes to shop, recycler or copart.
There will be new fees and Co-fees with insurance carriers.
New Non Vehicles
Zoox is a Tennessee based company that manufactures a printed car, this is an autonomous vehicle to carry goods only and will not have a driver. Its designed for Riders not for Drivers.
At this time the Federal Government defines what a vehicle is and how it is defined and Zonk has a Federal Exemption of not being a vehicle.
Automotive terminology is not used in the presentations and they stay out of current regulations.
No VIN is used, instead it is a serial number.
Not if it can be allowed on roads without a license, so it will most likely start in states that have loose regulations.
Zoox is for Share riding and has a zoox.com safety focus.
Nuro is promoting a goods based product with a touch screen interaction with users for delivery.
National Parks are looking at using these vehicles to reduce the carbon print in National and State Parks.

ICAR Checklist invited ARA so waiting until they present to strengthen ARA Glossary of terms.
AI Photo imaging is a success in identifying a total loss; it has been proven to work.
Insurance Triage is using AI and Photo Imaging for the Easy and Total Loss identification and estimates.
Insurance Triage uses people to define the middle damage that needs a more detailed look.
All Body shops estimate different and no human estimate is 100% the first time either, so the AI is gaining ground.
