ANTITRUST STATEMENT

As participants in this meeting, we need to be mindful of the constraints of antitrust laws. There shall be no discussions of agreements or concerted actions that may restrain competition. This prohibition includes the exchange of information concerning individual prices, rates, coverages, market practices, claims settlement practices, or any other competitive aspect of an individual company’s operation. Each participant is obligated to speak up immediately for the purpose of preventing any discussion falling outside these bounds.

Meeting Minutes

  • The antitrust agreement was read and the minutes were approved.

  • Paul gave an overview of the Marketing & Sales Strategy he has been working on with Stacey and Paulette.

  • CIECA’s Roadmap includes Project Charter, Value Proposition, Membership Growth & Strategy, and Identifying Obstacles.

  • Project Charter: We talked about the importance of the industry knowing CIECA and protecting the IP as well as why CIECA needs to grow and develop a marketing plan.

    • Steve commented that it cements value to current members and Kelly said that CIECA’s value increases with additional members.

  • Value Proposition: CIECA’s core offering includes Integration Standards and has involved evolved to become an Industry Forum. CIECA’s value proposition also includes CIECAST webinars for the industry and Networking. We looked at the value proposition by industry segment and Paul pointed out first responders and OEMs as areas to focus on in the future.

    • Steve suggested adding the segment that includes those working on building the future infrastructure for autonomous vehicles and Paul agreed that it was important to build relationships with those involved with smart cities/cars.

    • Regarding the value proposition for OEMs, Steve suggested reaching out to the following board members for insight: Steve, Clint, Phil, Scott and Dan. Kelly brought up the point that CIECA is a neutral communication channel for the industry and this might be important to shar ewith share with OEMs.

  • Membership Growth & Retention: Paul talked about focusing on the top 10/25 in each segment. He shared a slide with CIECA’s target audience, which includes IT Startups, Insurance Company CIOs, MSO head of IT and OEM IT-Collision. The goal is to determine how to communicate with each in a meaningful way.

    • Rick mentioned adding the IT departments of material suppliers such as 3M, Norton and Lloyds.

    • Steve suggested inviting new members to join the advisory board and . Rick and the committee were supportive.

    • Rick said there are two types of members: those using standards and those on the outside. He suggested reaching out to members to see why they join CIECA.

    • Steve suggested inviting new members to the Nov. 4 board meeting.

    • Kelly suggested setting up a mentoring program where existing members are paired with new members in the same segment to offer guidance and answer questions.

    • Petra suggested asking board members to share social media posts.

    • Petra or Kelly? suggested sharing the names of new companies every month.

  • Identifying Obstacles: Paul went over the obstacles we need to address to move forward (see slides for details).
