ANTITRUST STATEMENT As participants in this meeting, we need to be mindful of the constraints of antitrust laws. There shall be no discussions of agreements or concerted actions that may restrain competition. This prohibition includes the exchange of information concerning individual prices, rates, coverages, market practices, claims settlement practices, or any other competitive aspect of an individual company’s operation. Each participant is obligated to speak up immediately for the purpose of preventing any discussion falling outside these bounds. |

Meeting Minutes
The antitrust agreement was read and the minutes were approved.
Video Project Update: Only one company we spoke to came down in price to meet CIECA’s budget for the whiteboard video. Paul, Paulette and Stacey met with YDRAW and are confident that they will do a professional job. The decision has been made to proceed with YDRAW and share video updates with Marketing Committee for feedback.
Newsletter: The first quarterly CIECA newsletter was sent out today. Petra suggested adding videos in the future to draw more attention to information. Committee also discussed turning member announcements into podcasts.
CONNEX Backstage: Paul gave a demo of Backstage-a conference planning platform in ZoHo. He has set up conference agenda and information using this tool and we will be able to share it with members and industry to assist with planning, communication and logistics.
Ideas for the graphic included using a vehicle in motion, Matrix, digital-looking, use CIECA color; ensure graphic looks good on all marketing materials: letterhead, gifts, electronic communication, banners, etc.
A Save the Date announcement will go out to announce the conference date.
Look for speakers who can present about topics that are forward-looking; what will industry look like in 3-5 years. The goal is to encourage more attendance from technical audience: business analysts, project managers, developers. Also, want to encourage more involvement from start-up companies. 60-70% of CIECA members are software companies.
Video Project
We will set up a joint meeting consisting of Marketing and Education Committee members to show video samples.
Update on Emerging Technologies Data Standards Committee
A meeting will be held prior to the kickoff meeting to discuss the agenda.
Update on CIECA APIs initiative
The board will be asked to offer ideas on co-chairs for committeesPaul also shared the new website look he is creating in ZoHo. Petra suggested adding more color and increasing the font size. This led to a discussion CIECA’s color palette.
Color Palette: We talked about having a color palette and brand guideline for CIECA so there is consistency with all communications. Melissa will share CARSTAR’s brand guidelines with Paul and Stacey as well as the name of a graphic designer if we decide to go that route.

Petra will share contact info for Josh Davis, Center for Work Ethic Development, as a potential motivational speaker.
Melissa will provide contact from collision repair facility in Charlotte.
Jeff suggested contacting Brandon Laur, Claims Corp., to speak about information privacy
Jeff will provide contact to talk about paint and materials developments in the industry.
Steve will talk to Brian Sullivan/Auto Insurance Report about ideas in regard to claims.
Steve suggested recording the presentation Paul is giving at CIC to share with the industry and explain what CIECA does.
