    • OEM Roundtable

      • Prerequisites for calibration is on the agenda for the Seattle OEM Round Table meeting.

      • Getting consensus from the manufacturers is going to be a tough sell. Everyone knows that each vehicle is unique and everyone is providing things a little bit different.

      • The team could provide common pre work requisites so someone new to the industry would know what is required to do for calibrations.

      • Calibration are being done today and all are documented by the manufacture. The differences are the complexity of finding some of the prerequisites and the calibrations themselves.

      • It would be nice to have buckets of specific information to help people find the information they are looking for.

      • Best Practices may be something that would span all manufacturers.

        • Car should be repaired before calibrations, all body work and cameras should be in the final position, find the procedures to do a correct alignment and follow that, all the other steps and the final step being the calibration.

      • The Ask is coming due to Insurers pushing back on paying for some items because they may not be found in the Repair Procedures, it is a known requirement but not approved.

      • The OEM Repair procedures need to make sure they are specific in all tasks by each manufacturer, so calibration companies do not get a push back on payment.

    • Moving Flowchart to UI base and tying in CIECA data elements, code list and messages to each stage.

    • Chuck is working with the SAE Calibration Task Force, this is more the electronics of what the module can do on the vehicle, more from the engineering side, but Chuck will bring back anything the committee may need to look into.

    • CIECA Webinar will go over the API work that CIECA has been working on, April 24 @2pm CST.

👥 Great Meeting.
